This is a  simple sturdy  writing desk with room for storage.  I had already been looking into desk when I came across this one on  and I like the simplicity  of it.  The brown color is a plus also  because it matches with everything.  Bestier desk has two shelves on each side of the desk and plenty of adjustable storage space and work space, and plenty of room to store all of you accessories and computer tower. Iron Headphone Hanger, which is convenient for you put your headphone or some small things. It actually a space saver. This desk is very sturdy and has a foot rest palce for us gamers. This computer desk is made with P2 grade particle board and the desk surface is heat proof, scratch proof, waterproof. The boards are pre -drilled so  it’s designed to make it easy to put together.  It’s took a total of thirty minutes to assemble,  with help from my husband. The instructions are included. Bestier is a simple piece  of furniture, but is very comfortable to sit at to do your projects. I would recommend this desk!  They also provide customer service & support.

Quality of pieces and parts were good, better than some others… I’ve assembled many bookshelves and tables like this, and it was easy for my female self to complete solo. I could have asked for help but didn’t need it. Great size and just the rustic modern look I wanted.

Good looking deskThe Bestier 55” Computer Desk with storage shelves seems like a pretty good buy at the price. Weighing in at around 50 pounds, the desk is easily assembled. The instructions are mostly simple pictures showing where and how to put the pieces and the screws that hold them together. We only found one instance of a mislabeled piece in the assembly manual but the drawings were still easy to figure out. All hardware is included, sorted into individual bags and well labeled. There’s even an extra bag with surplus parts should something be missing in the main hardware bags – there wasn’t. The metal leg assemblies had screw-in foot adjustments for placement on uneven floors or perhaps tile. No wobbling. The only other thing I’ll add here is when you’re putting it together, don’t over-tighten the screws. The wood is mostly particle board, so if you do overdo it, you can pull the wood apart. Listen closely while you’re assembling the desk and your ears will tell you when to stop tightening.

The wood pieces were well packed with lots of Styrofoam in between. All metal parts were wrapped in plastic sleeves and surrounded by foam sheets. Everything was in good shape with the exception of one surface scratch on the main desktop panel. The scratch was difficult to see unless the light was right, but perhaps a little more quality control on the final product might be in order prior to shipment. The included multipurpose tool had a hex end and a phillips screwdriver end, though the screwdriver end was nearly worthless to me and my large hands. I just grabbed a handheld screwdriver from the garage and that made it easy. I’m not sure why some of the screws are phillips and some hex, but the manufacturer should look into all of one or the other and cut out the switching back and forth.

It’s a very nice looking desk and it feels sturdy after assembly. I have taken one star off because of the use of particle board, but even though it’s not hardwood construction, the dark “Rustic Brown” wood tones are very attractive and coordinate well with the black metal frame and the black table side pieces. The lower shelves are adjustable and can be moved up or down to accommodate different sized computers or other components. I think this would make a nice room desk for kids, but it’s attractive enough to put out in a main room as well.
